Ending of ‘Body of the Void’

‘Body of the Void’ ended yesterday with afternoon tea in the gallery facilitated by Alex, who volunteers most Saturdays at Lone Goat. Since I have been physically unwell the last few weeks after the constant adrenalin rushes of preparing for the opening night, the afternoon tea was all I could manage for a public program. I guess it was better than nothing.

A few wonderful people who managed to see the last minute advertising came along. It was great to meet Anthony J. Walker, who is an award-winning artist from the Yiman, Ghungalu and Gurreng Gurreng peoples of Central Queensland. He is holding a solo exhibition in June at Lone Goat Gallery. Also great meeting his daughter and wife renowned opera director Heather Fairbairn.

So many people told me that I need to be on Instagram, or that it’s good to be on there. So I finally re-opened an account for about the 5th time! I wish I had a partner who could manage that side of my art life. A blog still feels more real than a post on Instagram.

Below are some photos from the exhibition.
